Mazda Production and Sales Results for December 2014 and for January through December 2014 (Flash Report)
Mazda Motor Corporation's production and sales results for December 2014 and for January through December 2014 are summarized below.
I. Production
Note: As of January 2007, overseas production figures are based on Mazda brand units coming off the production line (does not include CKD units).
1. Domestic Production (1) December 2014 Mazda's domestic production volume in December 2014 decreased 8.5% compared to December 2013 due to decreased production of both passenger and commercial vehicles.

(2) January through December 2014 Mazda's total domestic production volume in the period from January through December 2014 decreased 3.3% year-on-year due to decreased production of passenger vehicles.

2. Overseas Production (1) December 2014 Mazda's overseas production volume in December 2014 increased 18.9% year-on-year, reflecting increased production of passenger vehicles.

(2) January through December 2014 Mazda's total overseas production volume in the period from January through December 2014 increased 32.2% year-on-year, due to increased production of passenger vehicles.

II. Domestic sales
(1) December 2014 Mazda's domestic sales volume in December 2014 decreased 0.8% compared to December 2013 due to decreased sales of commercial vehicles. Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 5.7% (up 0.9 points year-on-year), with a 1.4% share of the micro-mini segment (down 0.9 points year-on-year) and a 3.7% total market share (down 0.1 points year-on-year).

(2) January through December 2014 Mazda's total domestic sales volume in the period from January through December 2014 decreased 1.7% year-on-year due to decreased sales of both passenger and commercial vehicles. Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 5.1% (down 0.1 points year-on-year), with a 2.5% share of the micro-mini segment (down 0.3 points year-on-year) and a 4.0% total market share (down 0.2 points year-on-year).

III. Exports
(1) December 2014 Mazda's export volume in December 2014 decreased 20.1% compared to December 2013 due to decreased shipments to North America, Europe, Oceania and other regions.
